SummaryResponsibilities include utilizing state of the art CNC cylindrical grinders to grind aerospace components to final dimensional requirements. These tolerances can be as tight as .00005" and 4Ra surface finish. Other duties will include inspection of ground parts using various inspection tools such as micrometers, bore gages, and indicators and documenting inspection results. Work independently or with minimal direction from Supervisor. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork from blue prints and follow routers, corrective actions and other forms of written, verbal, and visual instruction. Utilization of CNC cylindrical grinders to achieve final dimensional requirementsUtilization of inspection equipmentScrutinize every facet of job and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to Supervisor. Perform housekeeping chores as department requirements dictate. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor. Required Knowledge and Skills:Ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external customers in both written and oral form. Ability to perform the duties of the job applying basic mathematics such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
