**DESCRIPTION OF POSITION/DUTIES:**
This is a **staff to hire** position in support of Lockheed Martins Strategic & Missile Defense Systems Division.
**This position is 100% full-time remote telework**. The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
The successful candidate will:
Develop power supply solutions for strategic technologies independently, including analysis, design, PCB layout, hardware testing and debug, and documenting results
Design power delivery networks that are low voltage / high current / high step load performance associated with high performance silicon devices.
Create specifications, apply microcircuit and packaging Mil standards, and develop qualification plans for technology insertions
Perform Bench Characterization, including bench automation, hardware design and develop test techniques
Participate in new silicon testing from an application perspective to ensure robustness of the product (i.e. destructive testing)
Responsible for on-time execution of project deliverables while simultaneously managing several projects in parallel
Schematic, Layout and Package Review of technology application
Internal evaluation of designs to support integration with flight technologies
Participate in documentation review to ensure completeness of requirements being developed by the flight application team
Work with systems engineer to provide support to early design in activities for new products
Create custom reference designs targeting relevant applications to be used as customer implementation ideas
Write technical notes that explain different use cases, implementation and/or flexibility of our technology developments
**14 - 20+ years of professional experience for this role**
**Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required for this position.
EDUCATION:**
Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
**YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:**

14 - 20+ years of professional experience for this role
**SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS:**
Low voltage / high current / high step load performance experience associated with high performance silicon devices.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on power electronics experience. 10+ years preferred.
MS or higher degree with a focus in power electronics
Deep technical understanding of isolated power supply topologies, control loop design, and component selection
Experience with AC/DC power supply design
Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Able to understand power system requirements and design trade-offs.
Proficient with power electronics design, analysis, and simulation tools. Altium and SIMPLIS experience is preferred
Excellent communication with global customer internal teams. Comfortable with a detailed in-depth technical discussion with system designers at customers as well as internally.
Ability to design, verify, and troubleshoot a complete system at the board level
Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
