NIC Global is an equal opportunity employer.JOB SUMMARYEvaluates manufacturing processes by developing, designing and conducting research to improve manufacturing methods using knowledge of process design; materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods and quality control standards.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIESResponsible for development, programming, and internal drawing creation of all NPI (new part introduction).Works with cross functional teams to identify and implement lean solutions to achieve safety, efficiency, and quality goals.Uses error proofing strategies to design fixtures and tooling for production operations.Identifies, organizes, and leads teams to resolve production process and product issues.Adapts machine or equipment designs to factory and production conditions.Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.Trains lower-level Manufacturing Engineers.This job description reflects the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this position. Additional duties and responsibilities may be required, based upon business needs, at any time with or without notice.QUALIFICATIONSBachelors Degree from a four-year college or university.Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a Manufacturing environment; sheet metal experience and design knowledge/experience desired.Experience with CNC programming (preferably with Striker software).Six Sigma certified helpful.Strong Lean Manufacturing background.Strong analytical, communication, and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint) skills; proficient in design software (Solid Works, Autocad and DraftSight).A high level of creativity and latitude is required.PHYSICAL DEMANDSAbility to lift 25lbs with or without accommodation.7:30am to 5:00pm Monday thru Thursday7:30am to 11:30am Fridays40 hours per week.#J-18808-Ljbffr
