Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Sr. GIS Specialist to join our team In this role you will remotely support major projects by integrating data into an existing GIS and creating output in various formats including maps, reports, and graphics.
What You'll Be Doing:
Using ArcGIS Pro software to create & edit GIS features representing sampling and remediation areas. Creating map layouts for use in the field and submission to regulatory agencies.
Using Map Series and ArcGIS Enterprise hosted feature services for figure production.
Referencing field maps, photos, tables, and other reference materials to develop maps and figures.
Addressing reviewer and client comments.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Computer Science or related curriculum (or equivalent) and typically 5+ years of related experience
Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro GIS software is required. Also requires a demonstrated proficiency in both written and oral communication skills and a working knowledge of industry practices. In addition, the incumbent must possess the following specific skills and competencies:
Ability to design and maintain GIS databases and other database formats.
Proficiency in cartography and map design, including coordinate systems, projections, and map scales.
Ability to utilize, convert, and incorporate various types of data into GIS.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Experience managing ArcGIS Enterprise databases and integrations.

Salary Range:
$33.89 - $59.33
