Geologics is seeking a talented Electrical Design Engineerto work with one of our national aerospace and defense partners based in Lafayette, CO.In this role, you will engage in a broad range of electrical engineering research, development, and support as a member of a diverse, cross-functional team. The Electrical Engineer will expand their skillset as they gain experience developing next generation satellite electronics as part of our world class electrical engineering teamPosition: Electrical Design EngineerType: W-2, Contract (12-months)Location: Onsite inLafayette, COPay: $39.00 - $49.00 per hourDue to the nature of work performed in the facility, U.S. citizenship is required. Job Responsibilities:Design electronics (schematic capture & PCB design) for complex space grade products.Use a variety of tools to analyze and simulate electrical designs, selecting the best tool for the job as required. Some of the common tools we use are Altium Design, LTSpice, and Siemens HyperLynx.Work in a fast-paced team environment on both R&D and production projects. Complete tasks with evolving requirements.Demonstrate strong ownership of the design process and an ability to work primarily independently.Debug hardware in a laboratory environment with common lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and multimeters.Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Test, Software, and FPGA design teams and other specialized teams to develop high quality, reliable hardware for our customers.Required Skills/Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Computer EngineeringA minimum of 4 years of hardware design experience. Advanced academic degrees, internship or research experience may count toward the required experience.Familiarity with at least one schematic capture/layout tool and at least one spice-based simulation tool.Expertise in one or more technical areas: power electronics/power conversion, analog design, sensors design and interface, electromechanical systems, digital design, FPGA design, automated test development, EMI/EMC, PCB design/manufacture, or other relevant area.Experience designing for harsh or mission critical environments including one of aerospace, automotive, aviation, medical, or naval.Experience designing to industry standards (such as EMI/EMC).Preferred Skills/Qualifications:Experience with schematic capture & PCB design for complex space grade productsExperience with Altium Design, LTSpice, Siemens HyperLynxIf you or anyone you know is interested in hearing more about this position, please email your resume and availability to Helen Do at hdo@geologics.comThe rates listed are not a guarantee of salary/rate.
