*Speech and Language Pathologist/ Clinical Fellow Welcome* Submit your CV and any additional required information after you have read this description by clicking on the application button. *Excellent school district* *Key Responsibilities:* *Assessment & Diagnosis:* Evaluate students' speech and language abilities and diagnose communication disorders using a variety of standardized tests and observational checklists. *Intervention Planning:* Develop individualized plans of care for students, setting specific goals and determining appropriate therapy strategies. *Therapy Implementation:* Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students based on IEP (Individualized Education Program) or 504 plan recommendations. *Collaboration:* Work closely with teachers, special educators, and other school staff to best support students and implement classroom-based strategies to support speech and language development. *Consultation:* Provide advice to classroom teachers about classroom accommodations for students and suggestions for lesson adaptations. *Documentation:* Maintain thorough and confidential records of students' diagnoses, treatments, and progress. Complete all necessary paperwork required by the school district and state regulations. *IEP Meetings:* Participate in IEP meetings, providing input on the students' speech and language capabilities, challenges, and progress. *Professional Development:* Stay updated with the latest research, strategies, and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology. Attend workshops, seminars, and conferences as required. *Parent Communication:* Foster open communication with parents/guardians, providing updates on progress, recommendations for home strategies, and addressing any concerns. *Qualifications:* Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Valid state license or certification to practice as an SLP in schools. ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) Certification preferred. Experience working with school-age children with various communication disorders. Strong understanding of federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to speech and language services in schools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
