This position will require you to prepare casual, pub-style fare for the Noggin Room Pub, located inside downtown Petoskey's Perry Hotel. Having prior experience using various ingredients and cooking techniques is important, as our goal is to preserve and enhance our reputation of providing an exceptional dining experience to our guests.
Basic responsibilities include:
- Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
- Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, and appetizers
- Plating prepared foods based on executive chef's guidance
- Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed as requested and on time
- Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations
- A positive attitude and the ability to demonstrate hospitality towards guests and co-workers at all times
- Experience preferred; willingness to learn required
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
- Must be able work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, stand for prolonged periods of time
- Seasonal position lasting no more than 6 months
- Wage range: $16 to $22 based on experience
