Job Description:The position of Quality Engineer (IATF Compliance Leader) receives functional guidance from the Global/Regional/Local Quality Manager and is responsible for compliance activities in support of the Quality Management System. A critical responsibility of the Quality Engineer (IATF Compliance Leader) is to ensure that the Customer Specific Requirements are designed into the IATF Certified Quality Management System. This position requires the Quality Engineer (IATF Compliance Leader) to consult leadership and site teams on quality system compliance related issues and changes.Key Responsibilities:Quality Management System CertificationGuide the Organization to follow the Quality Policy and help establish a quality cultureRepresent local site quality organization during 2nd and 3rd party audits.Own and maintain the site Quality Manual and coordinate all IATF 16949 Certification activitiesPrepare and present periodic QMS Management ReviewsDevelop schedule and execute IATF Internal Quality Audit activitiesMonitor and drive improvement actions identified in first party Internal Quality AuditsCustomer Specific Requirements:Assure "Customer Specific Requirements" are integrated into the sites QMSMonitor customer scorecards/portals and facilitate any required actionsAct as site customer coordinator for assessments, audits, and visits.Support cross functional teams to solve customer complaints with sustained solutionsContinuous Improvement (Audits, Corrective and Preventive Actions):Analyze key quality performance indicators (KPIs) for the core site processes and identify Improvement Opportunities.Communicate regularly with management concerning trends and progress in QMS performance.Support Site, Regional and Global Quality Improvement ProcessesAssure Key Learnings are updated within FMEAs, control plans, work instructions.Training:Communicate training opportunities in support of IATF-16949 and Customer Specific Requirements Close gaps in all required QMS competencies such as Core Tools, Root Cause Failure Analysis and IATF AuditingRequirements:Min. 3+ years' experience in a quality management role requiredKnowledge of quality core tools such as FMEA, MSA, SPC, APQP, PPAP and RCFAPreferred:Automotive background is strongly preferredLead auditor certification in ISO9001 / IATF 16949 preferredCertification as a Six Sigma Green / Black Belt preferredDiverse Experience/knowledge of key functions: engineering, operations, marketing and sales, and technology preferredDirect customer facing experience preferredOur Company:Axalta has remained at the forefront of the coatings industry by continually investing in innovative solutions.
