Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SQL Developer with a strong background in data modeling, specifically using ERwin. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and efficient database solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SQL, database architecture, and data modeling principles, with a focus on optimizing performance and ensuring data integrity.

Responsibilities

**Database Design and Development:** Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design efficient database solutions. Develop, implement, and maintain database objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, and functions. **Data Modeling:** Utilize ERwin or similar tools to create and maintain detailed data models, ensuring alignment with business requirements. Conduct data modeling reviews and provide recommendations for optimization and improvements. **Query Optimization:** Analyze and optimize SQL queries for performance improvements. Implement indexing strategies and other techniques to enhance database query efficiency. **Data Integrity and Security:** Ensure data integrity and security through the implementation of appropriate constraints, triggers, and access controls. Collaborate with security teams to implement best practices for data protection. **Documentation:** Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of database designs, data models, and development processes. Provide training and support to other team members on database-related topics. **Performance Monitoring and Tuning:** Monitor database performance and proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks. Collaborate with infrastructure teams to optimize database server configurations. **Collaboration:** Work closely with software developers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data usage patterns and optimize database structures accordingly. Participate in cross-functional discussions to align database solutions with overall system architecture.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a SQL Developer with a focus on data modeling using ERwin or similar tools. Strong proficiency in SQL programming and database management. Familiarity with database performance tuning and optimization techniques. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Knowledge of best practices in database security and data governance.
