POSITION SUMMARY:

The Recruitment Screener is responsible for supporting Winter Park's hiring process by interviewing new applicants. The Recruitment Screener works with hiring managers to ensure hiring needs are understood and applicant expectations are met. Applications will be organized, screened, interviewed and moved through the pre-employment steps as appropriate. The Recruitment Screener will also update recruiting reports for applicants and managers.

WAGE:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Winter Park Resorts hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Winter Park Resorts total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

Hourly pay: $18.00 - $20.00

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Track and screen all applications
    • Decline applicants that do not meet the minimum qualifications for the position
    • Check rehire eligibility for previous Winter Park Resort &/or Alterra employees
    • Schedule and conduct prescreen interviews with qualified applicants. This may be done in person or via telephone
    • Pass qualified prescreened applicants to hiring managers
  • Answer general employment questions from potential applicants
  • Respond to manager inquiries about applicant status and application flow
  • Must keep all employee information confidential
  • Assist all other positions within Human Resources as requested
  • Ability to function under pressure with constant phone use, to perform repetitive tasks, and disperse the same information repeatedly
  • Direct applicants to open positions depending on the candidate's preference and business need
  • Develop relationships with candidates, ensuring each candidate has a positive recruiting experience with our organization

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Prior HR/recruiting experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Winter Park Resort hiring departments preferred
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Excellent organizational and people skills required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a high volume workload and comfortable in an ever-changing environment with competing priorities
  • Possess professional and courteous behavior with all resort teammates and applicants over the phone and via email.
  • Comfortable working on the phone and computer for the majority of the day
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.
  • Auditory and visual acuity to operate computers, phones, mobile devices and basic office equipment on a constant basis.
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time sitting, bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis.
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing and pulling on an occasional basis.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees
