Position Description:

Ardent

is seeking a

Geospatial Solutions Engineer

who will work closely with our technical lead and systems integration team. This role will provide system management support of an ArcGIS Enterprise that entails troubleshooting Esri application deployment and implementing IT solutions to provide stability of the systems. In addition, design and develop tools and applications that leverage the ArcGIS REST and Python API allowing automation of a variety of GIS tasks such as automating map production, publishing web services, updating data sources across different databases, web map generation, and more. This individual will support critical automation tasks to help manage deployments, metrics, user access and other tasks. Working within an Agile based process, the person in this role will be responsible for developing data driven solutions for incident operations and national security events using web application and mobile applications such as Esri Dashboard, Web App Builder (WAB), Survey 123, Field Maps, and Story Maps. Being a fast tempo environment, it requires high levels of engagement, positive attitude, and being a problem solver.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Troubleshoot client issues related to ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise application deployment and system architectureSolve complex problems with application design, development, and user experiencesEnvision, design, and develop cloud-based web applications and data management strategies for large-scale deployment and management in the Homeland Security communityRapidly prototype cloud-based web applications to showcase new concepts and ideasQuickly convert customer ideas to minimum-viable-products using the entire ArcGIS suite of toolsIn-depth experience leveraging ArcGIS Dashboard, Insights, S123, Field Maps, Experience Builder (ExB) and/or Web Application Builder (WAB)Write technical design specifications and support documentationSuggests new technologies and approaches, often demonstrating and championing their useEstimate the duration and level of effort of development tasks through collaboration with SME and leadsRequirements:

Bachelor's Degree in geospatial, computer science, earth sciences, IT focused discipline, or equivalent work experience2+ years geospatial solution engineering experienceActive Top Secret Security Clearance with ability to pass a polygraph is requiredAbility to troubleshoot client issues related to Esri ArcGIS Enterprise application deployment and system architectureUnderstanding of ArcGIS from an IT context (hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, cloud computing)Experience deploying, upgrading, and/or administrating an ArcGIS EnterpriseExperience Operating and Maintaining a multi-machine or single machine ArcGIS EnterpriseExperience managing the integration of data services and ingests between record keeping systems and GISExperience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technologyExperience integrating software solutionsKnowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments, such as Microsoft Azure or AWS (GovCloud)Experience managing the implementation and documentation of network security requirementsMotivated, highly engaging, and a problem solver
