Bookkeeper/Head of Finance
The Head of Finance directs the financial activities of the organization. The position requires an experienced individual to oversee all financial and accounting tasks. The individual is responsible for budget management, financial analysis, payroll, forecasting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial reporting. Certain aspects of the position involve assistance with human resources, including policy and procedure compliance. This employee is involved in a busy workplace and is well-versed in working closely with senior management.

This position requires an energetic professional who doesn't mind wearing multiple hats and handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks and able to work independently with little or no supervision. The Head of Finance is organized, flexible and enjoys the challenges of working in a structure comprised of diverse roles and people.

Essential Functions:
  • Manage all accounts payables and receivables.
  • Prepare checks, payments and bank deposits
  • Assist with year-end Audits
  • Record keeping
  • Monitor and reconcile bank accounts
  • Prepare periodic financial reports
  • Monitor and maintain fleet documentation
  • Assist with insurance policy renewals
  • Monitor and maintain documentation for subcontractors
  • Track job costing
  • Monitor and document vendor's reward programs
  • Process bi-weekly payroll through Solex
  • Point of contact for IT requests
  • Initiate lien proceedings
  • Point of contact for HR attorney
  • File documents with government entities
  • Manage employee benefits
  • Ad hoc projects

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:
  • Proven financial management of mid-size organization
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office software and QuickBooks
  • Knowledge of human resources management practices and procedures
  • Personal Integrity
  • Knowledge of GAAP and Procedures
  • Financial Data Analysis and Budgeting
