Mechatronics Engineer - Siemens PLC System Design Responsibilities Collaborate

with

cross-functional teams

to define

system requirements

and

specifications . Programming ,

troubleshooting , and

modifying

Siemens S7

PLC

and

TIA Portal

for

HMI . Conduct

testing

and

debugging

of

hardware

and

software components . Perform

system integration

and

verification activities . Create

detailed documentation

including

design specifications ,

test plans , and

reports . Collaborate

with

suppliers

to ensure the availability of necessary

components . Troubleshooting

and

debugging mechanical breakdowns

and failures for

pneumatics ,

hydraulics , and other mechanical functions of

manufacturing equipment . Must be able to

read

and

understand

electrical drawings ,

pneumatic/hydraulic

drawings , and

mechanical sequence of operations

and use them to design the

electrical ,

pneumatic

and

hydraulic prints

as required. Improve

existing mechanical and

electrical/controls

systems . Understand

safety concepts

and

safety requirements

to ensure proper implementation during the

design phase . (NFPA79, UL508) Provide accurate

Bill of Materials

as part of

design , adhering to

customer specification

or documenting deviation acceptance from

customer

as required. Support manufacturing

during the

startup

and

integration phase . Generate

machine lockout placards

based on

end-user specifications

and best practice. Requirements BS Degree in an engineering field such as

Mechatronics ,

Electrical , or

Mechanical

is highly preferred. Will consider related experience in lieu of a degree. Must have

experience

with Siemens

PLC/HMI

and ability to

program ,

troubleshoot , and

modify

existing programs. Strong mechanical

troubleshooting

background and able to identify issues with

pneumatics ,

hydraulics , and other mechanical failures. 5+ years of relevant

mechatronics engineering experience . Experienced

in

designing electrical ,

hardware , and

mechanical systems

(AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or Solidworks are acceptable CAD platforms). Prior

experience leading

small

teams

or

projects

is a plus. Able to work in a

fast paced manufacturing environment . collaborate, cross-functional teams, system requirements, specifications, programming, troubleshooting, modifying, Siemens S7 PLC, TIA Portal, HMI, testing, debugging, hardware, software components, system integration, verification activities, detailed documentation, design specifications, test plans, reports, suppliers, components, troubleshooting, debugging mechanical breakdowns, pneumatics, hydraulics, manufacturing equipment, electrical drawings,

pneumatic/hydraulic

drawings, mechanical sequence of operations, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic prints,

electrical/controls
