A talented Aerospace Engineer with a solid grounding in aerospace or mechanical engineering and a passion for space exploration. You will play a crucial role in the design, development, and testing of our innovative spacecraft, contributing to projects that push the boundaries of current space technology. Your Role Will Involve: Designing and developing key components of our spacecraft, from conceptualization to implementation, ensuring they meet the rigorous demands of space travel. Engaging in detailed structural analysis, including stress and thermal assessments, to ensure the integrity and performance of spacecraft designs. Leading efforts in the fabrication and assembly of airframes and other critical spacecraft systems, applying your expertise to innovate and optimize designs. Conducting extensive hardware testing, from developing test protocols to executing and analyzing test results, ensuring that every component achieves unparalleled reliability and efficiency. Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to integrate mechanical designs with electronic and propulsion systems, creating seamless and functional spacecraft architectures. Participating actively in the planning and execution of spacecraft testing, from ground-based simulations to actual flight testing, contributing to the continuous improvement of design and performance. Requirements Ideal Candidate Profile: Holds at least a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, with a minimum of three years' experience in aerospace engineering or related fields. Demonstrates a robust foundation in engineering principles and critical thinking, with the ability to apply these skills to complex engineering challenges in space technology. Possesses excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical information clearly and effectively. Highly organized and adept at managing both technical and physical documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility. Eager to collaborate within a team environment, contributing to a range of projects and initiatives that are critical to the success and growth of the company. Takes initiative and demonstrates a proactive approach to problem-solving, capable of managing multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Skills We Value: Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or NX, with a strong ability to produce detailed and accurate engineering drawings and models. Experience in structural analysis, including manual calculations and finite element analysis (FEA), to validate design integrity under various operational conditions. A solid background in hardware testing, capable of developing and implementing comprehensive test protocols. Hands-on experience in the design and fabrication of airframes, with hobbyist projects also considered valuable. Must be a US citizen or resident to access export-controlled data and participate in classified projects. Highly Appreciated Skill: A Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related field, providing advanced knowledge and specialized skills in spacecraft design and engineering. Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), and other manufacturing planning systems. Scripting abilities in any programming language, enhancing the capacity for automation and efficiency in design and testing processes. Experience with composite materials and metalworking techniques, offering innovative solutions for lightweight and high-strength spacecraft structures.
