Friendship Village of Dublin is looking for a Chief Engineer for this amazing Community

Why is this Opportunity Different than the rest??? -This is a single site stand alone facility, no travel is required to service the breadth of our community.

The Chief Engineer performs various assessments of and corrective and preventative maintenance duties necessary to maintain and enhance the community at Friendship Village of Dublin. These duties include but are not limited to HVAC, Plumbing, electrical and maintenance. In addition, the Chief Engineer will provide leadership and instruction to the Maintenance Technicians.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Inspect the physical property and identify all areas in need of immediate or future repairs and maintenance, and provide updates and requested repairs to the Facilities Director
  • Support our nurse call system, SARA, including knowledge and understanding of our alert & communication devices and reporting for our campus
  • Manage the WorxHub ticketing systems daily and manage and delegate work tickets to Maintenance Technicians. Follow up and monitoring is required of those assigned tickets
  • Safety oversight
  • Security Collaboration for the Community
  • Maintain and participate in the on-call schedule for all evening, weekend and holiday work
  • Support to negotiate contractor or contract vendors for all outside required work in conjunction with the Facilities and Compliance Director
  • Inspect and follow up with vendor quality and scheduled work
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
  • Train, lead and mentor the current Maintenance technicians by teaching, coaching, leading by example while upholding the It takes a Village Culture
Qualifications:
  • 5-7 Years of on the job building maintenance experience
  • 3-5 years of Management experience
  • Advanced Maintenance skills related to electrical, HVAC, plumbing, pool maintained and emergency response and security systems
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to give clear director and respond to requests
  • Customer Service Focus required
  • Financial Acumen of the budgetary process
  • Project Managing skills, including planning, organizing, coordinating tasks
  • Procurement and Construction Experience preferred
