Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings, and other procedures while providing oral health education, and assisting the dentist in various procedures.

Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and other procedures
- Conduct patient assessments and document medical history
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for home care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Dentrix
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols, including practicing aseptic technique and sterilizing instruments
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Assist with medical coding and billing as necessary

Qualifications:
- Valid Dental Hygiene license in CT
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Proficiency in medical documentation, including charting and recording patient information
- Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental software preferred
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and equipment
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment

Skills:
- Proficient in conducting patient assessments and documenting medical history
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental software for maintaining accurate patient records
- Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines for ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality
- Skilled in performing dental cleanings including, prophylaxis, fluoride, light scaling, polishing and cavitron use
- Competent in taking and developing dental x-rays
- Recall scheduling
- Sterilization of instruments, room setup and breakdown for new patients and recalls.
- Strong understanding of aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Excellent communication skills for educating patients on oral hygiene techniques and providing personalized recommendations
