ROLE PURPOSE: The Social Media Intern supports the Manager, Marketing Communications to achieve superior customer engagement by optimizing content to be engaging in social media and other channels.

MAJOR ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Social media community management, responding to queries and customer reviews in a timely manner
  • Create, edit, and share engaging content (e.g. original text, photos, REELS, videos, and news)
  • Help write copy for social posts and blogs that communicate our brand to followers
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Measure the success of organic social media content & accounts
  • Ad Hoc marketing projects as assigned by Manager, Marketing Communications
KEY COMPETENCIES:
  • Excellent knowledge of Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, Linked In and social media best practices
  • High energy, enthusiastic, team-player
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and translate ideas
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION and CREDENTIALS:
    • Recent graduate or college student with Marketing, Business, Journalism or Communications major with a focus and/or strong aptitude for social media


JOB LOCATION: Within travel distance to Brattleboro, Vermont, in a hybrid work environment with at least 2 days per week in office (preferred). Remote applicants may be considered.
