Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Human Resource Manager to join their dynamic team. As a key contributor to the organization, you will work closely with the leadership. The Sr Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the main responsibilities for the hourly workforce including employee engagement, talent strategy, plant leadership support, recruiting, and managing company policies and practices.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide support and guidance to leadership team and advise on organizational policy matters and recommend needed changes.
  • Partner with the Operations team to understand and execute the plant's human resource and hourly talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, and retention.
  • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting, and administering policies and helping resolve work-related problems.
  • Maintain records and reviews statistical data/reports concerning personnel-related information such as hires, turnover and absenteeism.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruiting process for production workers, which may include sourcing, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings; prepare personnel forecast to project employment needs.
  • Advise leadership team on non-production recruiting; participate in interviews for non-production plant roles.
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and other systems.
Requirements

Experience and Education
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
  • A minimum of five years of human resource management experience
  • Human Resources experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is required
  • HRIS experience is a plus, Paylocity experience would be an asset.
  • This is not a remote or hybrid role as it supports the hourly workforce
