Our client is looking for an experienced Press Operator for 2nd shift in the Lakewood, NY area. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or similar environment. This position is full time with a pay rate of $16.50 per hour. Responsibilities
- Operating various production punch presses
- Operating other processing equipment
- Follow work instructions
- Inspect and monitor produced components
- Adhere to quality documentation
- Responsible for the set up and operation of all presses, from single hit tooling to progressive dies
- Use fabricated checking fixture
- Responsible for checking random parts while running and given part
- Troubleshoot minor tooling issues or problems
- Package parts per customer requirements
- Supervise subordinate level operators if required
- Identify opportunities to improve products and/or reduce costs
- Complete All Paperwork Associated Neatly and Accurately
- Follow directions from supervisors
- Communicate any issues with supervisors
- Other duties as assigned
- Must have at least 1 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or similar environment
- Must have excellent Mechanical Aptitude
- Must know how to use measuring devices (Micrometers, Verniers, etc..)
- Must have excellent attention to detail
- Must be dedicated
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have High School Diploma/GED
- Full Time
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
- Pay Rate is $16.50
- Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts
