Job Summary: As a Procurement Specialist, you will work in our Process Equipment Division (PED) to outsource various products that meet our high standards of quality and performance. You will use your skills and experience to negotiate with suppliers on costs, delivery, and terms and conditions.
Key Job Elements:
Coordinate Supply Chain efforts with associated Product Managers and/or Material Control to maximize value to KJLC.
Respond to price and delivery requests for non-stocked items as requested by the sales and production departments.
Analyzehistorical and current trends to make recommendations for production demands and optimize stocking levels.
Analyze material data in order to drive consolidation of spend by commodities / suppliers to provide KJLC with the leverage of volume.
Negotiate with new and existing suppliers to achieve the best situation for KJLC in terms of product price, lead time, quality, and packaging.
Create and issue purchase orders to meet the needs of sales orders, production orders, and stocking requirements.
Perform vendor onsite audits, inspections, and negotiations.
Deliver performance feedback to the suppliers regarding quality, on-time deliveries, and customer service satisfaction.
Utilize inventory management and purchasing programs where possible, such as JIT, MRP and E-commerce.
Maintain the item master for assigned products to ensure expectations are accurate at planning stage.
Maintain the accuracy of the purchase order delivery dates.
Develop and maintain working relationships with the assigned suppliers.
Qualifications: *Required*
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related field or equivalent in experience.
At least 3 years of experience and/or education in procurement and inventory management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Excel and ERP Systems.
Working knowledge of purchasing techniques including RFQs, blanket orders and product demand discounts that improve strategic costing capabilities.
Preferred
Dynamics 365 is a plus
CPIM (Certified Production and Inventory Management)
CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional)
