**Job Purpose**

Sales Associates are to provide and ensure optimal customer service to be the most preferred and trusted pet store in Canada*.* It is the responsibility of the Sales Associate to meet the needs of customers and their pets through honest advice and optimal solo shopping experience (Clean & maintained shelves, product in-stock, etc.).

**Structure & Schedule**

Sales Associates work as a team with Leaders & Receiver to serve Customers & ensure sufficient and presentable stock on shelves. Each Customer Service Rep will have Shared Responsibilities and given their own section to manage to provide proper attention to detail for the whole store.

Sales Associates are scheduled on a 4on 2off rotation working full-time hours of 40 hours/week. The purpose of the 4on-2off rotation is providing consistency and equal distribution of weekends. For the 4 work days, Sales Associates will have 2-morning shifts and 2 evening shifts.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

Sales Associates are responsible for these 5 areas of store functions in order of Priority with objectives:

*Customer Service*

* To serve and learn the immediate needs of customers offering honest and sincere advice, as well as welcoming them to the culture of Homes Alive community

*Store Appearance*

* Maintain stock on the shelves, product detail communication for your specific section (ie. Price tags, sales signs, etc), clean and face products and shelves to provide the highest quality of solo shopping experience for the customer

*Employee Service*

* Self-initiate service to co-workers and leaders to assist with any projects or tasks to develop a culture and community of servantship and improve the quality of life of those around you

*System Maintenance*

* Complete routine tasks specified in checklists & delegated by leaders and follow proper system procedures for efficiency, effective communication, and accuracy of inventory.

*Self-Development*

* Take initiative in any possible opportunities to learn and develop skills or knowledge in any area within Homes Alive to develop yourself to become a servant leader (a leader that extends beyond the bounds of leader job role)

**Salary Expectations**

* $17 - $18.50/hr
