The Cloud Architect will assist in the planning, design, administration, and structured development of all aspects of the organization's cloud deployments. The role will provide architectural oversight and hands on expertise to ensure Scientific Games' cloud deployments meet regulatory and compliance standards. Additionally, the Cloud Architect will be an active participant in SG's cloud technology including the technology road map, overall strategy, planning, operational efficiencies, problem identification and potentially resolution. Strong analytical skills are required and the ability to keep pace in a very dynamic industry through a period of material investment, change and growth. The candidate must be highly proficient in public cloud design concepts, tools and implementations with experience in with multiple cloud vendors (AWS experience preferred).

BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience

10 years of experience with AWS and VMWare enterprise environments

Expert-level knowledge of one or more cloud environments, such as Azure Cloud, Google Cloud, or AWS. AWS Preferred.

Knowledge of Security, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Key Management, Access Controls and Security Protocols, Network routing, Firewalls, ACL's, cloud IaaS components within AWS

Ability to architect highly available, backup, and disaster recovery solutions for a transaction intensive enterprise solution

Develop enterprise cloud guidelines and automation

Automate provisioning of networks and access (Organization, Routes/Firewalls, IAM, Policy)

Experience with "on-premises to cloud" migrations or IT transformations

Cloud security architecture experience

Cloud Logging and Monitoring tools, best practices

Proficient in Cloud-native application architecture patterns

Experience with one or more DevOps, Orchestration/Configuration Management and Continuous Integration technology (e. g. Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, Terraform, Kubernetes, Ansible, )

Broad understanding of private, public and hybrid cloud architecture, networking, cloud operations and cost models and cloud migration best practices and tools.

Experience providing solutions for highly secured compliance intensive applications.
