This opportunity will allow you to positively impact the quality of life for over 700 seniors and their families. Salary Base pay range: $17.00/hr $19.00/hr. Responsibilities Assist the Chef, Sous Chef, and cooks with the preparation and presentation of the culinary program for residents. Prep, cook, serve, sanitize tasks, kitchen laundry, and interact with residents. Maintain a positive, organized, detail?oriented approach to support our kitchen operations. Skills Needed Confidence to engage with seniors individually and in small groups. Basic culinary skills and comfort in a kitchen environment. Safety awareness in work habits. Ability to operate different types of kitchen equipment. Calm demeanor under pressure. Comfort interacting with residents with varying levels of physical and cognitive abilities. Ability to take direction and coaching from others. Team player with strong working relationships and customer service focus. Ability to adapt/respond quickly to the needs and preferences of residents. Willingness to learn about dementia and how to help residents live with purpose. Relative Experience Experience working in a culinary environment. Customer service roles, especially with seniors or vulnerable populations. Healthcare, hospitality, hotels, or other service?based positions. Volunteer work with vulnerable groups. Completing task lists in a structured environment. Qualifications At least 18 years of age. Experience in a kitchen. Current negative TB test. Willingness to learn how to work in a healthcare/assisted living environment. Ability to pass a criminal record/background check. Good time?management skills. Can work independently with little oversight. Preferred: COVID?19 vaccination.
