We are currently looking for a Part Time 38 Sales Associate to join our Artesian Gift Shop Retail Unit 3 team located at the Artesian Gift Shop working .Summary:Greet and assists patrons in the purchasing of items available for sale, accepting cash and change. Responsible for providing highest level of customer service and providing the winning experience.Responsibilities:* Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types- Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner- Partners with internal and external services as needed to ensure appropriate referral is made- Greets and engages with a smile- Determines and meets needs- Seeks positive experience and outcomes* Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities* Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types- Shares responsibilities for maintaining adequate supplies and equipment- Maintains general upkeep of work area and maintains a safe environment- Observes and addresses potential environmental hazards and risks- Maintains and promotes professionalism- Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics- Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards- May provide break coverage for others as assigned- May augment staff in other areas as needed based on staffing and needs ratio in regularly assigned unit* Maintain knowledge of and follow all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.* Picks up and signs for cash bank to be used on assigned shift* Assists and guides customers with purchase selection- Engages potential customers and guides with selection and purchase decisions- May order catolog items if not in stock- Promotes products to increase guest satisfaction and store sales* Maintains purchase log of sales conducted on assigned shift to be given to Gift Shop Manager for inventory purposes* Audits and reconciles credit card receipts, cash received, and balance cash drawer on assigned shift, and complete cash report for all cash denomination and credit card receipts* All other duties as assignedCompetencies:Essential:* Follow instructions, written or oral * Adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements* Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability* Read, understand and apply regulations and policies* Builds effective working relationships* Communicates verbally with team, departments, guests and managementSkills:Essential:* Count lrg amts of cash by hand / with cash counting machines* Operate point-of-sale terminalExperience:Essential:* No prior experience required.Education:Essential:* High School, GED or EquivalentCredentials:Essential:* Pass general background checkNonessential:* Pass gaming background check* Gaming license or permit as required by assigned positionWorking Conditions:Essential:* May work where cigarette smoking occurs* Bright and Flashing lights* Noisy* Retail store* Team-oriented* Point-of-sale equipment* Potential exposure to blue and or white light* Intent to sell, increase sales, excellent service* Pass pre-employment drug test* Sometimes bend, kneel, stoop, push, reach* Manual dexterity* Sometimes lift and or carry up to 25 lbs* Standing up to 100% of shift* Visual acuity for detail, distance, color, depth perception* Walk up to 100% of shift* May work day shift* May work evening shift* May work holidays* May work rotating shifts* May work weekend shift
