Overview:

The MES Engineer will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) within our manufacturing facilities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze production processes, configure MES software, and provide technical expertise to optimize manufacturing operations. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and proficiency in MES software and related technologies.

1. MES System Design and Configuration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design MES solutions that align with manufacturing process needs and business objectives.
  • Configure and customize MES software to meet specific manufacturing requirements, including process workflows, data collection, and reporting functionalities.
  • Conduct testing and validation of MES systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.

2. System Implementation and Integration:

  • Support the implementation and deployment of MES systems in manufacturing facilities, working closely with project teams to ensure successful delivery within defined timelines and budgets.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and contractors, to integrate MES systems with other manufacturing systems, such as ERP, SCADA, and PLCs.
  • Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues during the implementation and integration phases.

3. System Maintenance and Support:

  • Monitor the performance and availability of MES systems, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and disruptions to production operations.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot system errors, and guide them in utilizing MES functionalities effectively.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to manage system upgrades, patches, and security enhancements.

4. Process Improvement and Optimization:

  • Analyze manufacturing processes, data, and workflows to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvement using the MES system.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, including automation of manual tasks, reduction of cycle times, and enhancement of production workflows through the utilization of MES functionalities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing data analysis and insights to drive informed decision-making.

5. Documentation and Training:

  • Create and maintain documentation, including system configuration, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on utilizing MES functionalities, ensuring proper system usage and adherence to standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required or equivalent experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Proven knowledge of recruiting and hiring processes and procedures
  • 3 ~ 5 years or more of Experience in MES management
  • Strong understanding of production process and related systems
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Improvement of the MES system and Development of user requirement
  • Knowledge of Programming language and DB management
  • Experience in performance optimization for system and DB
  • Programming language skill : C#.NET, MS-SQL, JAVA
  • Design and development of an Interface program for equipment automation
  • Knowledge of strategic, conceptual, and consultative process
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and schedules to meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, people-management, leadership, and communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills
  • Collaborating and communicating skills with other departments
  • Interest and working knowledge automotive industry and technology
  • Bilingual speaker (English and Korean) is a plus
