General Purpose

The Systems Engineer is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing the IT systems of PACS and its remote clients. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams and other IT teams to identify requirements, suggest technical solutions, and implement technologies effectively.

Additionally, a strong focus on automating IT processes for increased efficiency and supporting cloud environments is essential.

Essential Duties

•Design, implement, and maintain IT systems infrastructure with a focus on cloud integration and optimization.

•Ensure smooth operation and optimization of both on-premise and cloud-based network and server environments.

•Perform regular system monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance to minimize downtime and resolve technical issues promptly.

•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and implement new technologies that align with business objectives.

•Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures to safeguard critical data and ensure business continuity.

•Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software problems, and offer timely solutions.

•Conduct system upgrades, installations, and configurations to keep the infrastructure up to date.

•Assist in the evaluation and selection of hardware and software solutions to meet business needs.

•Manage and optimize virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).

•Administer and maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core infrastructure services.

•Follow a methodology of Continual Improvement/Continual Deployment with an emphasis on optimization and automation.

•Implement and manage IT security measures to protect systems from cyber threats.

•Document system configurations, procedures, and changes meticulously to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance.

Qualification

Education and/or Experience

•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience may be evaluated in place of education. •Proven experience as an IT Systems Engineer or similar role, preferably in a multi-site environment. •In-depth knowledge of network protocols, infrastructure components, and systems administration. •Proficiency in Windows and Linux server environments. •Extensive experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure). •Strong proficiency in managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core infrastructure services. •Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. •Effective communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. •Knowledge of IT security best practices and tools. •Experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is highly desirable.

Reasoning Ability

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) is a plus.
