Apply today About the role SIGN-ON BONUS - $5,000 (1/3 after 1 month, 1/3 after 6 months, 1/3 after 1 year) CES offers our valued CDL Drivers: * Hourly Pay (Time and a half after 40) * Paid Weekly (Friday) * Newer Tractors (with a fridge) no slip seating * 2 weeks paid vacation to start (3 weeks after 3 years) * No cost Basic Life and Basic AD&D Insurance, as well as supplemental employee life and AD&D and dependent life options * Industry-leading retirement plan * Employee Assistance Program (EAP) * Wellness Incentive & Rewards Program Position Description: The CDL Driver will perform duties associated with transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste between Covanta facilities and the client's sites. Drives will have the opportunity to operate a variety of equipment including vacuum tankers, vacuum trucks, vans, and flat beds. Responsibilities: * Operate equipment in a safe manner following DOT regulations and company policies and regulations. * Drive commercial vehicles to pick up and transport waste to a designated location safely while meeting scheduled appointments and following all DOT regulations. * Ensure placarding of the vehicle meets DOT regulations. * Maintain paperwork including expense reports, timesheets, vehicle inspection reports, manifests, and job sheets. * Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. * Secure cargo prior to and during transit. * Complete additional assigned duties. Requirements: * High School Diploma / GED preferred. * Must be 21 years or older, due to interstate travel in a commercial vehicle and federal regulations. * Minimum (2) years of commercial driving experience. * CDL Class A with Tanker endorsements. * HazMat endorsement preferred but not required. * Clean driving record. * Ability to use a tablet for E-Logs. * Abide by standard DOT regulations at all times.
