The Liens Analyst creates, files, and releases liens on behalf of the Complex Claims department as it concerns the Motor Vehicle Accident team. This position is responsible for handling lien-specific information, maintaining extreme privacy, and security as it relates to confidential and proprietary information. Key Responsibilities: Review specific state statutes and determine what information is needed to perfect a lien on any Motor Vehicle Accident or Third-Party Liability claim using EnableComp’s proprietary software, systems, and tools. Research all relevant state statutes to determine strategic, advantageous, and effective procedures needed to file, monitor, and release liens in a timely manner. Conduct timely and thorough follow-up regarding outstanding liens through phone calls, portal checks, and mail follow-up regarding outstanding issues. Prepare appropriate Lien specific information using EnableComp systems and mail either registered mail, certified mail, or by other means necessary to the appropriate party or parties associated with the patient, their representation, and their cause of action. Other duties as required. Requirements and Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. Paralegal certification preferred. 2-4+ years’ experience in the healthcare field working in billing or collections. 2+ years’ client-facing/customer service experience. 5+ years’ experience with Motor Vehicle Accident and third-party Liability complex claims is preferred. Intermediate level understanding of insurance payer/provider claims processing and subsequent data requirements. Must have strong computer proficiency and understand how to use basic office applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Intermediate level understanding of legal mechanics and paper is preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
