SPECIFIC
- Proactively improve safety in the plant to achieve the plant goal of 0 accidents
- Facilitate and develop topics for communication at daily safety and area meetings
- Champion timely resolution of all safety concerns and/or near misses
- Work with maintenance to ensure equipment has proper PM and is safe to operate
- Enforce area and plant safety procedures
- Work closely with quality area to create and maintain systems that ensure quality products
- Support teammates in their efforts to consistently exceed customer expectations
- Communicate potential quality concerns and maintain customer and TS requirements
- Enforce area and plant quality procedures, and monitor and track quality activities for the production area
- Coordinate and oversee rotation of production activities in the area to ensure line efficiency and customers' needs are met
- Monitor standardized work is being followed
- Plan changeovers to minimize disruption of production
- Actively encourage participation in the idea program by effectively resolving and implementing teammates' ideas
- Identify training opportunities to develop and maintain a highly motivated and capable team
- Lead efforts to reduce cost and improve efficiency to meet planned/plant objectives
- Conduct training for teammates
- Gather information and auditing of daily reports
- Additional responsibilities as required - this position is subject to change as the needs of the department change
- Two years of post-high school education preferred
- A combination of education and manufacturing experience required
- Participation in a significant role on the MOS, either deploying a practice, training in a tool or methodology, leading problem-solving, or other applied leadership experience.
- 2-4 years of leadership experience required
