Our ALOHA™ and Voltaix® products are critical to the manufacturer of the newest computer chips required for Big Data and the Internet of Things.How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?This position is part of the Air Liquide Advanced Materials Business Unit which focuses on highly specialized molecules that support the electronics industry. Within a growing business, you will be enabled to significantly add value to a diverse portfolio of products and assist in new product commercialization efforts from a quality perspective. The Engineer will be based out of our HQ in Branchburg, NJ, but travel for project related support to our facilities.Lead Quality related capital projects by managing the design and proper implementation. Ensure sustainable operation, maintenance, and metrology of online and other analytical instruments.Actively engage with the project manager to ensure projects are on time, on budget, and deliver the required qualitySustain the complementary Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data monitoring software used for SPC and plant control of analytical based data.Create and issue drawings for sampling systems, conduct and lead Process Hazard Analysis (PHAs), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEAs), and 8Ds.Support all ALAM locations for equipment installations, commissioning activities, and continuous improvement of metrology systemsMap future laboratory instrumentation requirements for emerging products. Integrate within the stage gate process on line analytics to improve pilot plant characteristics and quality by design attributes.Interface between multiple departments, including Analyzer technical community within Air Liquide, to drive projects to completion on time and within budget.Travel to ALAM locationsExpected to travel to sites as business needs dictate including but not limited to support equipment installations and visit suppliers for commissioning activities. Travel could be 25 to 50% during the project commissioning phase and can fluctuate based on the scale and location of the project.Ability to communicate effectively and work with cross functional teamsSuccessfully completes all required training.Are you a MATCH?Required QualificationsBS in Chemical Engineering or higher5+ Years experience in Project engineering or Project management to include designing, commissioning and starting up of chemical plants, performing hands-on optimization of specialty chemicals/gases production units/ analyzer systems.Strong understanding of chemical engineering fundamentals.Proven track record of delivering on commitments.Problem solving and decision making skills.Solution/outcome oriented in an environment with minimal supervision.Experience in design and installation of lab equipment, sampling systems and online analyzers.Working knowledge of DCS and PLC control system design, installation, and function.Process hazard analysis leadership; LOPA and HAZOP.Development and use of metrics for performance management.Preferred QualificationsExperience working with highly hazardous chemicals in at a manufacturing facility.Expertise in metrology systems design and operation.
