LHH is working with a company in the South Dallas are that is growing rapidly. They are seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to collaborate closely with their Assistant Controller and Controller in accurately reporting inventory and product costs.

Job Responsibilities:
Analyze and revise cost standards for materials, labor, and overhead.
Collaborate with purchasing and operations to enhance controls for inventory monitoring and reconciliation.
Conduct periodic audits of bill of materials and collaborate with engineering to rectify any discrepancies.
Provide ad-hoc analysis to support management in decision-making processes.
Work in tandem with IT to enhance system performance and accuracy pertaining to inventory, manufacturing, and associated reporting.
Develop and maintain monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to inventory, material costs, labor costs, variance analysis, and operational efficiencies.
Assist in month-end and year-end closings, including balance sheet reconciliations.
Aid in quarterly physical inventories and reconciliations.
Support in the preparation of annual budget and forecasts.
Assist in interim and year-end audit test work.
Perform additional duties as delegated.

Job Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in cost accounting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products, particularly MS Excel.
Ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information effectively to cross-functional teams and management.
Adaptability and capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Self-organized and self-starting individual capable of working independently with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
