We're looking for a Janitor/Custodian, working in Real Estate industry in 1249 Enclave Circle, Arlington, Texas, 76011, United States.

If so, then we have the perfect opportunity for you We are seeking a part-time Janitor who will perform custodial and maintenance duties on the Wingate residential property located at 1249 Enclave Circle in Arlington, Texas. The official job title for this role at Wingate is a called a Porter and the selected candidate will work no more than 29 hours a week.

Primary responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be responsible for keeping exteriors, common areas, vacant units, sidewalks and alleyways of the property in a clean and safe condition. The Porter will assist in other types of basic maintenance and will be a helper / assistant to the maintenance team.

Main Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure cleanliness of hallways, stairwells, common areas, model units, elevators, mailbox areas, parking areas and vacant apartments. Additional duties include sweeping and mopping floors as well as general maintenance of appliances and plumbing as well as assisting with painting as needed.
  • Cleans all common areas.
  • Cleans all model, corporate and vacant apartments.
  • Cleans all parking areas.
  • Cleans all sidewalks and alleyways.
  • Cleans on-site management offices.
  • Cleans mailbox areas.
  • Cleans elevators.
  • Cleans laundry rooms.
  • Maintains grounds (Lawn care, snow removal, litter clean-up).
  • Attends staff meetings, as required.
  • Attends resident meetings, as required.
  • Assists with miscellaneous social program activities (e.g., set-up, pick-ups, clean-ups, etc.)
  • Vacuums carpets.
  • Washes windows (interior/exterior).
  • Keeps sidewalks clean (i.e., sweep or shovel).
  • Blows leaves from parkways.
  • Sweeps and mops tile floors.
  • Picks up trash.
  • Empties and sanitizes trash cans.
  • Cleans appliances.
  • Maintains appliances and plumbing.
  • Assists in inventory control of all janitorial equipment and supplies.
  • Assists with painting, as directed.
  • Replaces burnt-out bulbs.
  • Checks locks while working in specific areas.
  • Reports maintenance problem areas ASAP.

Experience Required for Your Success
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • General knowledge of plumbing maintenance and know how to turn on and off power, water and gas and how to utilize a fire extinguisher
  • Bi-lingual (Ability to speak English and Spanish) preferred
  • Ability to lift/move 51lbs unassisted, climb stairs, bend/stoop/squat/kneel and grasp/grip/turn
