Environmental Engineer

We are currently seeking an Early Career to Mid Level Environmental Engineer/ Scientist/ Geologist on a direct hire basis within our clients environmental engineering and science consulting firm. The ideal candidate will support projects in the fields of hydrogeology, water resources, surface hydraulics and hydrology, and geotechnical engineering . The candidate will perform technical analyses with guidance by a supervisor. Other tasks include data collection, compilation, visualization, and analysis, computer modeling, field activities, oral or written presentations to the supervisor, project team, and clients. In addition, candidates will participate in proposal development, project management, and business development activities.Job Requirements:Perform fieldwork to support environmental investigation, evaluation, and remediation projects, including the collection of groundwater, soil, soil vapor, stormwater, and surface water samplesAssist Project Technical Leaders in the preparation of high-quality technical presentations, reports, letters, plans, and proposalsCoordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and analytical laboratories and independently perform subcontractor oversightSupport the design of assessment programs and remedial options for site cleanup, as well as environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance, and permitting activitiesAssist in the management, analysis, and interpretation of environmental data using statistical and data visualization toolsIndependently perform research tasks with input from technical expertsContribute to a team atmosphere through collaboration with technical experts, project managers, colleagues, and subcontractorsQualifications:Advanced degree with background in groundwater/hydrogeology, environmental engineering, surface water hydraulics, hydrology and/or geotechnical fieldsEarly career 0 to 2 years of experience / Mid-career 3 to 5 years of experienceExcellent data analysis and computer modeling skillsProficiency in programming in at least one language, such as MATLAB, R, and/or PythonKnowledge of statistical and probabilistic analysisExcellent verbal and written communication skillsCritical thinking, time management, and problem-solving skillsCollaborative mindset Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently and as part of a teamEngineer in Training (EIT) or Geologist in Training (GIT) certification40-hour OSHA HAZWWOPER certification a plusValid drivers license and clear driving recordAbility to travelFlexibility to work outside normal office work hours, if neededTo be Considered Candidates: Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship***Employment Type: Direct HireLocation of Position : Emeryville, CALocation Type : On-sitePay range: $65K 115K/yr.TRS Staffing Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer that recognizes the value of a diverse workforce.
