Founded in 2012, Austin Achieve has grown from serving a single cohort of 6th-grade scholars to serving over 2,800 scholars in grades Pre-K through 12.The next Elementary School Principal will be looking to build upon the success and see Austin Achieves Elementary School Northeast (ESNE) into the future.The Elementary School Principal will be a proven instructional leader, responsible for the schools educational leadership, including implementing a rigorous and district-aligned curriculum, maintaining a strong emphasis on campus culture, and focusing on continuous professional development for all teachers and staff.Non-Negotiable Skills & Internal BeliefsBelief in every student's potential: Holds the conviction that all students can achieve at a high level given the right support and resources.Instructional leader: Knows what it takes to get all students to achieve at high levels.Effective communication skills: Able to communicate proficiently in both written and oral formats with students, parents, teachers, and district stakeholders.Crisis management skills: Demonstrates the ability to remain calm and composed, acting as a stabilizing presence during times of crisis.Commitment to continuous learning: Embraces a growth mindset, viewing themselves as a perpetual learner committed to personal and professional development.Leadership in adult development: Capable of leading and guiding fellow adults towards improvement and growth through coaching and collaboration.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Hire, support, and retain an excellent teaching faculty and manage a strong staff culture that prioritizes long-term growth and development at Austin Achieve.Oversee the implementation of a high-quality, rigorous, and aligned college-prep curriculumSupport scholar culture, cultivate positive relationships, and model restorative practices.Exemplify, model, and hold all teachers accountable to the pillars of our staff culture rubric.Model personal organization and efficiencyImplement a data-driven culture for scholar achievement and utilize data tomanage and create systems for school operations.Support the Assistant Principal of Instruction in implementing and overseeing instructional coaching/support of the teaching staff.Support the Assistant Principal of Culture in managing scholar behavior, culture, and restorative practices systems.Support the Assistant Principal of Operations in managing day-to-day school operations, facilities needs and ensuring compliance with all local, state, andfederal laws and regulations.Manage and ensure clear and purposeful communication between the FrontOffice, Campus Leadership, Shared Services, and Teaching Teams.Build relationships with community stakeholders, community organizations,and families.Go By any Means to ensure all scholars are College ReadyDemonstrate a long-term commitment to the organization, working alongside the other Austin Achieve principals and district staffQualifications:Bachelors Degree required; Masters Degree preferredProven track record of getting great outcomes for students, particularly from historically disadvantaged communities.Educational expertise, including, but not limited to, knowledge of curriculum, instructional practice, student learning styles, and student assessments.Leadership experience with staff management, including, but not limited to, the hiring, evaluation, and development of teaching faculty.Strong and tested ability to develop excellent teams and participate effectively on teams through a collaborative management style.Proven ability to prioritize, balance, and complete complex projects in the face of competing deadlines.Experience working with and aligning teachers, parents, and community organizations to promote learning for all students.Experience working with diverse scholar populations, including emerging bilingual (formerly ELL) and special education.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Experience motivating and working with a variety of diverse stakeholders and local community members.Experience with school finance, budgets, and organizational management.Fluency in Spanish is preferred.How to Apply:Step 1: Submit Application Applications should include the information listed below.
