As a Warehouse Material Handler, you will work with the team to ensure products get where they need to be, unload delivery vehicles, receive inventory, store product, and select and pack customer orders. As an employee-owned company, our employees are key to our success and are given opportunities to learn and grow into higher level positions.Work shift and hours: Full-time, hourly, non-exemptMonday - Friday6:30am - 3:30pmPredictable work schedule to plan your life around: no weekends or nights for most roles.Paid time-off, including 3+ weeks of vacation, sick time, and volunteer time.Compensation Details: The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $17.20 - $19.50 per hour, depending on experience.Additional Information: Steel toed boots required.This position will require you to be a backup Delivery Driver, Chauffeurs license preferred and must be able to pass DOT medical exam.In this role you will: Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts and push cartsUnload and accurately receive deliveriesStore product in specific location and note in systemSelect and pack customer orders and at times deliver customer orders in light van or delivery vehicleMaintain clean warehouse including following all safety procedures and performing daily safety inspectionsHelp determine best routes for delivery to meet customer expectationsDeliver products to Graybar customers while providing excellent customer serviceLoad and unload trucks and use warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacksInspect vehicle and suppliesSafely operate vehicle at all timesMaintain proper truck logsWork a local route - no overnights or weekends awayWhat you bring to the table: Ability to perform physical requirements in a warehouse environment including lifting up to 70 lbs., cutting wire, climbing ladders and staying on the move in various temperatures depending on the locationSafely operate warehouse equipment and proper use of PPEGood attendance and work ethicCan perform tasks quickly and accurately2+ years experience preferredMinimum 18 years of age requiredCustomer service skillsAbility to perform the physical requirements necessary to work in a warehouse environment; must pass pre-employment physical testingExperience required driving a van or truck equal or below 26,000 GVWMust have a valid driver's license issued by his/her state of residence appropriate for type of vehicleMust be able to pass DOT medical exam and Commercial Motor Vehicle CertificationWhy should you join Graybar?
