Prior Authorization Specialist

Seeking experienced, energetic, upbeat, collaborative person to join our patient services team at Albany Gastroenterology Consultants - a leading provider of gastroenterology medical services in the area. At Albany Gastroenterology Consultants, we provide exceptional care to our patients, but we also extend that philosophy of caring to our team. This culture of caring creates a truly special place to work.

Responsibilities include:
  • Submit/obtain prior authorization for medical imaging studies
  • CT, MRIs, Ultrasounds, Gastric emptying, HIDA
  • Obtain patient records from other medical facilities/labs
  • Schedule patients for their approved medical imaging
  • Schedule and reschedule patients for their office visits and lab appointments
  • Assist the scheduling department with patient walk ins
  • Answer phones and check voicemails daily
Qualifications:
  • Office experience preferred
  • Ability to multitask
