Experienced workers are Needed *This is a summary of some key duties and physical requirements and is not intended to be a complete job description.Benefits/Perks•Employee Discounts•Paid Sick Leave•Health Insurance •Supplemental Insurance available for Life and Disability Insurance•401 K (after one year)ESSENTIAL DUTIES in Delica Department (responsibilities include, but are not limited to)The Delica Department items for Delica products include all Deli, Sushi, and Bakery items. •Processing, cutting, and wrapping Delica items •Maintains a well-organized back stock/cooler area•Packaging food products•Baking•Bakery Preparation•Follow recipes and must accurately measure ingredients•Maintains good communication with store management, associates and suppliers/vendors•Maintaining cleanliness of the store/ store upkeep•Ensuring proper presentation of our Bakery items along with providing a smile, greeting, and assisting customers who visit our Store.•Ensures Bakery items are handled, stocked, rotated and merchandised•Checks product temperature to ensure freshness and quality•Ability to weigh, price, label, organize and rotate products per Marukai' standards•Unloading Bakery Items upon vendor deliveries •Checks product temperature to ensure freshness and quality•Ensures that all products are in its right place, so shoppers can find what they need quickly and easily•Unpacking and stocking delica and sushi items when needed•Must clean and sanitize work areas•Work Environment will be in extreme temperatureCustomer Service:•Providing premier customer service, including greeting them and responding to questions•Engaging in suggestive selling and other sales techniques•Meets or exceeds Department's sales goals assigned through the efficient execution of Company policies and procedures•Maintains cleanliness of work area, storage area, and selling floor•Ensures a safe and clean work environment•Cross Training: •Store Support Associates exemplify teamwork and are open to and willing to be trained and step in when needed in all departments and similar skilled areas for filling and development opportunities.RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS:•High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred •Must be 18 or older to use sharp knives, use ladders, scaffolds or their substitutes, substitutes above 6 feet in height, and to operate or assist in operating power-driven machinery or equipment.•Must be able to use job related equipment such as slicer, scale, saw, knife and wrapper•No experience required, but a minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in a similar work environment is preferred•Previous experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or Deli Clerk experience is preferred •Possess a CA Food Handling license or the ability to acquire one•Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without aid•Exposure to potential hazards exists with respect to equipment and work aides necessary to perform job duties.
