**Job Description:**

**Position Summary**: Assist the camp directors and site managers by providing custodial care to facilities and sites. Provide customer service and support seasonal camp operations.

**Hiring Salary**: $15 an hour (30-36 hours a week when camp is in session)

**Seasonal position starting June 8, 2021 and ending August 13, 2021**

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Be responsible for maintaining the health and safety of campers, volunteers and staff thru custodial operations.

- Provide janitorial services including cleaning and sanitizing of buildings, latrines, and activity areas and emptying garbage.

- Follow all GSWISE cleaning protocols.

- Maintain organized and clean equipment, and supplies; report needed repairs.

- Assist in the closing each week of camp, including a thorough cleaning of all facilities.

**Experience and Skills:**

**Position Requirements:**

- At least 16 years of age.

- Mature, self-motivated individual who is able to work independently and with a wide variety of people.

- Possess interpersonal communication skills and a commitment to customer responsiveness.

- Be adaptable and display good judgement and decision making.

- Ability to assess visually the janitorial services needed to maintain desired conditions and meet GSWISE standards.

- Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.

- Display stamina and an ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

- Physical demands and work environment regularly requires the employee to walk, hike, and work outdoors in wooded areas and on uneven natural paths.

- Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule.

- Willingness to subscribe to the philosophy of the Girl Scout program and enroll as a Girl Scout member.

- Provide own transportation to and from camp each day
