With deep capital partners and institutional investment backing, we are looking to originate $1b in loans over the next 12 months.
Dunmor is an entrepreneurial company, and this position will focus on managing multiple warehouse funding facilities and investor relations to optimize funding and capital markets operations.
We look for people who have worked in the Business Purpose Lending space
and enjoy being challenged, are team-oriented, transparent, and can understand the customer's needs while maintaining internal controls and risk mitigation efforts. Above all, we value integrity and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
Establish themselves as a subject matter expert in warehouse lending, Dunmor solutions, and traditional loan origination and warehouse lending strategies.
Review and authorize daily funding request for various products.
Manage capital markets relations to optimize loan sale strategies.
Analyze root cause of errors, apply critical thinking to determine resolution and make independent decisions under short deadlines to resolve.
Responsible, as first line of defense, to identify new and recurring risks.
Communicate with management and peers, customers, and partners (loan origination systems, warehouse providers and loan buyers) to resolve issues and enhance process and communicate upcoming changes or requests.
Assist with various projects and participate in quality control testing, and ensure policies and procedures are properly documented.
Daily loan servicing including borrowing/funding requests, settlement/paydown processing related to warehouse facilities.
Collateral review and management: load and review of daily custodial reports; coordinate with external document custodian on exceptions. Execution of collateral releases for the shipment of loan documents to investors purchasing loans off the warehouse line
Borrowing base management: monitoring warehouse line expiration dates, advance limits and deficiencies; coordinate with client and Operations as needed. Where applicable, coordinate with Operations on temporary exceptions.
Fielding other ongoing/ad hoc inquiries/requests from clients
Qualifications - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
5+ years related work experience in banking or mortgage lending.
3 to 5 years funding experience.
Detail oriented, organized, flexible and strong communication skills.
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, interruptions and fast paced environment in the daily context of effectively dealing with time deadlines for client and bank internal needs.
Proficient knowledge of Excel and SQL.
Skilled in collaborating across a start-up environment with the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
