Empowerment Scope:

Responsible for customer outreach and estimations for projects and all development and implementation elements. Championing and gathering information, organizing, and preparing information, as well as analyzing important metrics to create a quantifiable and competitive quote. Communication interactions with customers, vendors and team members in relation to bid information.

Accountability Measures:

General Expectations

  • Identify and construct cost estimates through an examination of the resources and labor required to execute certain projects.
  • Develop precise or correct impressions, recognize and understand the risks associated with the projects, develop production plans, and so on.
  • Efficient at developing estimation terms for official quotation to customer.Always protecting Industry Standards best interests.
  • Examine and describe the expense of lost resources and potential delays in a project, making suggestions or developing solutions to address these problems
  • Review industrial, and commercial construction designs to ascertain a projects electrical requirements including cooperating and communicating effectively with clients, proposing suitable sites, wire widths, transformer sizes, and other factors.
  • Examine supplier pricing to ascertain the cost of each component individually and negotiating with merchants and suppliers to secure the best deals.
  • Save time on future estimates by maintaining cost databases and include typical expenditures.
  • Ascertain the projects electrical requirements.
  • Create the specified electrical systems outline and designs.
  • Place the workstation, utilities, and other fixtures by the guidelines.
  • Analyze the plans and understand them.
  • Examine the design to gauge the electrical wires length.
  • Determine the budget and time restrictions.
  • Understand the price of each components supply.
  • Calculate the amount of labor needed to complete the job.
  • Collaborate with other team members and contractors.
  • Maintain a record of electrical costs.
  • Perform calculations for various ways to profitability.
  • Keep up good contacts with the suppliers.
  • Describe the expense and resource required for projects to translate a clear picture to PM of project quotation development.Required but not limited to preliminary schedule, schedule of values and copy of bid design (Preliminary markups of bid design).
  • Provide support to team members with that may not be listed to move projects forward for the benefit of the company at supervisors approval or request.
  • Design bid according to current national electrical code (NEC).

Qualifications and Skills

  • Completion or enrolled in of Electrical estimation classes at the postsecondary level.
  • Preferred or equivalent bachelors degree in construction science, engineering, construction management, or a similar profession.
  • Preferred electrical certification with the state of California.
  • A capacity for blueprint interpretation.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Outstanding organizing abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, and time-management skills
  • Strong analytic abilities, math skills, and must be a critical thinker.
  • Working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets, word processing programs, and construction management softwares. (Blue beam, CAD software, estimation software and all Microsoft products.)
  • Understanding of construction documents.
  • Ability to coordinate and work independently.

Documentation

Develop bid documents for all upcoming, current and outstanding bids.Quotation cost, action plans, specification sheets, preliminary schedule and SOVs.

Update Management and Project Management team of potential projects and approved projects.Will be required to turn over a project to a project manager with developed bid documents in an official capacity.
