Job Description Job Description Manufacturing EngineerCompany information: Equipment manufacturer in the Northwest suburbs is expanding and is hiring for a Manufacturing Engineer reporting to the Engineering ManagerMid-sized entrepreneurial organization that plans to double in size in the next 5 yearsMust have metal fabrication, automotive or welding or other closely related manufacturing experiencePrefer local candidatesBenefits: Full comprehensive BCBS medical, dental and vision programs401K program with an excellent matchFamily atmosphereFast growing companySalary range is based on experience and education: 100K 130KJob Responsibilities: Work with the Engineering Manager and Operations teams to improve output for the facility through engineering changes, upgrades, turnarounds and overall improvement of the engineering departmentTake ownership of production, assembly, tooling, test & calibration where requiredDevelop and maintain manufacturing methods and create process routingsDesign and build / procure necessary tooling and finishing within budgetsConduct cost / benefit analysis for changes to processes and/or equipmentDrive safety projectsEnsure processes contribute to a safe work environmentIdentify and reduce product quality issues caused by process variationLead high impact process and quality improvement projects yielding significant reduction in defects and increased productivityUtilize lean-manufacturing principles and participate in action workouts to improve process capability, reduce overall costs and increase capacityFollow LEAN principles to improve processes, increase efficiencies and decrease downtimeUpgrade the tool room as neededWork closely with manufacturing department to develop, coordinate, and provide technical training and blueprints for employees.Provide technical support for manufacturing personnel to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical bottlenecksRequirements : BS in Engineering is required, preferably Mechanical, Industrial or related3 7+ years experience in project engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related engineering rolesExperience with Lean manufacturing or Six-Sigma is required; prefer certificationsExperience with Design preferredExperience with SolidWorks, Pro/Engineer and/or other 3D CAD modeling software is a plusMust have experience with manufacturing, prefer experience metals, aerospace, automotive, equipment, punch presses, laser cutting, metal fabrication, welding, forging, die cutting and related environments preferredExperience with PFMEA, time studies, new equipment, proposals, and relatedExcellent verbal and written communication skills required.#ZRCompany Description The team at JSK Recruiting, Inc. prides itself on providing boutique-level services combined with the resources of a larger recruiting firm.
