Hours: Full -Time

Benefits: PTO, 1/2 employer paid medical, 401k match

A general summary of responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of the finance/accounting department
  • Approving hours for Payroll of 40+ electricians on a weekly basis but not running the actual payroll
  • Oversee Accounts payable personnel and process
  • Oversee Contract Billing personnel and process
  • Oversee Time and Material billing personnel and process
  • Oversee Contract administrator personnel
  • Administration of bank accounts and daily cash flow activity
  • Prepare and file all required Payroll tax to State, Local, and Federal agencies
  • Prepare and maintain contracts in progress schedule including the cost to complete interviews with project managers
  • Track contract change orders
  • Prepare and maintain internal customized reports utilizing excel as needed
  • Prepare and file monthly reports to taxing authorities for any special project tax incentive
  • Prepare a monthly income statement, balance sheet, financial reports, and associated reconciliations
  • Close year-end books, prepare schedules, and coordinate with an external accounting firm for annual review

Skills and Experience

Required:

Bachelor degree or higher in Accounting/Finance

Experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller

Preferred:

Specialized experience in construction accounting (including the percentage of completion)

Someone who works with construction type companies like drywall, mechanical, electrical, water sewer, etc who works with up to 200 employees would be a bonus.
