Responsible for ensuring that warehouse activities, including Inventory Control, Safety Management, Shipping and Receiving, etc. are carried out efficiently and profitably.
Prior Solar Power, Utilities, and/or Renewable Energy experience REQUIRED.
**Essential functions:**
Prior Solar Industry Experience (or Renewable Energy/ Utilities)
Schedules personnel to ensure proper staffing
Handles general employee inquiries and solves problems
Handles hiring, discipline, training, and firing of employees
Conducts performance appraisals of employees
Coordinates with other departments to facilitate efficient warehouse operations
Completes necessary Activity Reports for management
Attends regular and called meetings as required
Supervises directly the work of: Shipping & Receiving, Inventory Control, Safety Protocols, Warehouse Operations, etc.
Adjusts inventory to physical count.
Maintains consistent communication with Purchasing and Field Managers regarding new items, change of brand names, change of location, count, etc.
Assists warehouse and field techs in locating items that may have incorrect locations or stock number.
Oversees the activities and job assignments of warehouse workers; Prepares performance appraisals in conjunction with the Field Operations Manager.
Prior experience managing solar/renewable energy inventory is a huge plus
**Additional Responsibilities:**
Performs other duties and assignments as directed by management
Maintains efficient manpower schedules and conducts maintenance activities
Researches and presents new ideas to improve the warehouse operations
Ensures safety and productive work environment per OSHA, NJ DOL, and Corporate policies
