Broadcast IT Manager

KOAT-TV the ABC affiliate in Albuquerque, is looking for an IT Manager to join our station. You will oversee the IT operations at our station and work with a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment. The IT Manager reports to the Director of Engineering and performs daily maintenance on computers, virtual systems, network infrastructure, printers and provides user support.
Responsibilities
- Support user needs across all departments, including News, Creative Services, Sales, Engineering and Administration
- Maintain imaging machines, updating firmware and managing hardware inventory
- Provide technical guidance to end-users and mobile device support
- Maintain LAN/IT infrastructure, installation and support of network hardware and software
- Occasional travel to news bureau, transmitter and translator locations
- Analyze and implement corporate data back-up, disaster recovery and security procedure
- Working knowledge of managed network switches and architecture concepts
- VMWare, Cisco or Microsoft certifications preferred
- VPN, Cisco equipment, TCP/IP subnetting and routing. OSPF experience a plus
- Wireshark and Nmap experience
- Clustered Network Attached Storage
- Deep understanding of file share permissions and inheritance
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems
- Knowledge of Linux
- Python programming experience preferred
- Prior experience with a large user base
- Experience in the television broadcast setting preferred
- Enterprise and web-based applications
- Communications skills and customer-service attitude
- Higher education in technology, SBE certification or related military experience will be considered
