We are currently looking for a qualified Branch Manager for this location. As an integral leader in our Interstate Battery distributorship, the Branch Manager is driven by purpose and results. He or she will act every day to make a positive contribution to the business, the customers, the community, and his or her team.

Job Components:
Financial:
Participate in developing annual operation budget.
Review, monitor and analyze weekly scorecard and monthly financials to identify variances to FY financial plan. Design and implement action plans to address deficiencies.
Manage inventory to coincide with selling activity to ensure proper levels.
Plan for and identify root causes of inventory deviation through cause-and-effect analysis and design. Implement action plans to address deficiencies.
Budget and Control expenses
Responsible for physical custody and overall safeguarding of inventory.
Customer Focus:
Manage dealer erosion.
Develop product and service competition expertise in respective market.
Key contact for complaints received by operation.
Investigate all complaints and respond to complaining customers within a reasonable timeframe.
Review, monitor and look at analytics to identify markets that may be declining. Design and implement action plans to address decline.
Understand key account hierarchy, visit, and maintain relationships with key decision makers at each account.
Work with sales team to acquire new business within region.
Human Capital:
Communicate company initiatives, and Distributor goals to operation staff to ensure clarity and alignment.
Establish set weekly meetings with RSMs and warehouse staff.
Provide annual performance reviews for all operation staff.
Manage labor to meet utilization objectives for operation.
Provide performance management utilizing progressive discipline processes.
Provide recognition and reward for team members demonstrating outstanding performance.
Provide consistent training and coaching to develop team members’ knowledge, abilities, and skills.
Conduct ride-a-longs to evaluate training needs and to offer conductive feedback.
Manage compliance with all DOT rules and regulations.
Manage compliance with all OSHA safety rules and regulations.
Manage performance – take responsibility for team members’ performance. Utilize clear goals, expectations, feedback. Addresses performance problems and issues promptly.
Create/maintain a culture of shared ideas, open communications, and an attitude of “how can we get it done” within the team.
Process:
Focus on development of best practices that provide greater productivity and efficiencies and drive distributorship revenue goals.
Manage routing procedures to ensure maximum utilization of equipment and manpower.
Provide on-going feedback for continuous process improvement.
Help to develop standard operating procedures and performance standards.
Maintain forklift certifications and training for all employees
What you will bring:
A minimum of 5 years’ proven managerial experience is required.
Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is a plus.
Computer skills including Word and Excel preferred.
Knowledge of battery or automotive systems a plus.

Ability to sustain posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time.

Ability to occasionally lift and/or move 50+ lbs.
May be exposed to battery warehouse conditions such as exposure to moving equipment mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
Prolonged use of personal computers & telephone.
Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
