This full-time, onsite position involves working with a high-needs K-12 school, primarily serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The SLP can choose to work with their preferred age group and will handle moderate to severe cases. Both CCC and CFY candidates are welcome to apply. Key Responsibilities: Evaluations: Conduct thorough assessments of students' speech, language, and communication skills to identify needs and determine eligibility for services. Therapeutic Interventions: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapy sessions for students with moderate to severe speech and language needs. Collaboration: Partner with teachers, special education staff, and other service providers to incorporate speech and language goals into students' educational programs. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, therapy plans, and IEP goals. Prepare detailed reports and actively participate in IEP meetings. Family Communication: Regularly update families on student progress, provide resources, and involve them in the therapy process. Professional Development: Participate in professional development opportunities alongside school staff and contractors. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance. Qualifications: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Valid Delaware state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered. Experience working with high-needs populations, particularly students with ASD, is highly desirable. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students. Work Schedule: Full-Time: 40 hours per week, following the school calendar for the 2024-2025 academic year. Potential for Extended School Year (ESY).
