Position Summary

An advanced software engineer plays a critical role in the development team, contributing to the design and implementation of software solutions, mentoring junior team members, and driving innovation and best practices in software development. The person is responsible for creating Unity game content by translating the ideas, designs, and requirements into the player experience.

Responsibilities:

Design, code, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop software that meets project requirements. Lead the architectural design of software systems, making decisions on technology stack, scalability, and maintainability. Ensure adherence to software design principles and best practices. Serve as a technical subject matter expert within the team. Provide guidance on coding standards, best practices, and code reviews. Lead and mentor junior engineers, guiding them in their software development tasks. Take ownership of project milestones and ensure timely delivery. Analyze and resolve complex technical issues and challenges. Investigate and troubleshoot software defects and performance bottlenecks. Maintain comprehensive documentation of software designs, architecture, and coding standards. Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards. Implement and advocate for automated testing and continuous integration practices. Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to define software requirements and user stories. Participate in sprint planning and Agile development processes. Stay informed about emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to enhance software products and processes. Ensure that software development complies with security and compliance standards. Address security vulnerabilities and implement secure coding practices.

Qualifications

Qualifications

7-10 years of hands-on software development experience. 7 or more years of gaming industry experience. 4 or more years of experience in Unity 3D content development. Proven track record of designing, implementing, and delivering complex software solutions. Experience working on full-stack development projects. In-depth knowledge of Unity3D software Web development experience or knowledge is a plus.

Programming Proficiency:

Expertise in multiple programming languages (e.g., C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, etc.). In-depth knowledge of software development frameworks and libraries. (.Net etc) Familiarity with modern software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).

Architecture and Design:

Strong understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns. Ability to architect scalable and maintainable software systems. Experience with microservices architecture is a plus.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency with relevant software development tools, IDEs, and version control systems. Knowledge of databases and data modeling. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Exceptional problem-solving and debugging skills. Ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide innovative solutions.
