About the team The centralized Testing team for TikTok provides support for multiple service component value chains. In this role, team members have the opportunity to validate, automate, develop and manage the complex challenges of scale with your expertise in large-scale systems. The TikTok Engineering Test team focuses on testing and delivering innovative and high quality core product features of the app. Our goal is to facilitate successful release of TikTok features and enhancements from development to production through effective testing delivering continuous quality at speed. Responsibilities: - Own the entire system testing process, including but not limited to: analysis, design, executing test plans and cases, and conducting defect tracking - Work closely with Developers, Product and Program Managers to test and validate new features and define the testing protocol - Provide cross functional test support for other team members - Collaborate with automation test teams to provide test coverage with internal tools/frameworks/platforms and enhance team productivityMinimum Qualifications: - At least 4 years of experience working as Software Quality Assurance Engineer or related role - Experience in manual testing - Experience in automation testing - Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline - At least 3 years of experience developing test plans, test framework, test tools, leading QA projects and initiatives Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field - Experience testing mobile apps on Android and iOS platforms - API automation testing including working experience with test automation frameworks - Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools. - Experience programmatically testing products, measuring test coverage, developing the best automation, driving testability and promoting best practices in quality areas - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with track record of working effectively with development engineering and other functions - Superior analytical skills, including strong ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems - Ability to triage issues, react well to changes, work with teams and ability to multi-task on multiple products and projects.
