I. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Helps to perform initial credentialing and re-credentialing for all providers including updating all supporting documentation, i.e., pertinent certificates, licenses, contracts, and agreements.
Assists in verifying all documentation in support of provider credentialing.
Assists in processing new enrollments for providers for Medicaid/Medicare.
Assists in filing revalidations per regulatory requirements for Medicaid/Medicare and MCO for the organization.
Assists in creating NPIs for the organization and providers; updating changes as needed.
Aids in maintenance of data base documenting status on credentialing activity.
Assists in maintenance of patient rosters for MCO membership on a monthly basis.
Assists in creating and maintenance of MCO provider portal and practice management
Assists in creating and updating provider roster templates for MCO
Assists in creating and maintenance of CAQH (Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare)

V. Education and/or Experience
A successful candidate must possess a high school diploma, Associates degree from an accredited institution preferred. At least 5 years of experience in credentialing for the health care sector is required. Experience may serve as substitution for the Associates degree preferred requirement.

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents, such as, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel) as well as experience or familiarity with other health provider programs which may be in use.
