**Job Title: Machinist - Set Up****Job Description**We are seeking an experienced Machinist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting various machine tools and ensuring parts are made to print. You will also operate departmental equipment when machines are not available for set up, assist in trouble-shooting problems with programs, tooling, fixtures, and out-of-print parts, and perform First Article Inspections using an applied understanding of Geometric Dimensions and Tolerancing (GD&T). You will also have the opportunity to train operators and oversee operator’s work as assigned, including equipment set up and adjustments. The role also involves performing equipment readiness tasks, assisting manufacturing support teams with problem-solving activities, and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.**Hard Skills**+ Previous machining experience with CNC lathes and mills+ CNC machine set up experience+ Ability to interpret prints or custom specs+ Use of GD&T to perform first article inspection**Soft Skills**+ Problem-solving skills+ Ability to train and oversee other operators+ Maintain a clean and orderly work environment**Job Type**This is a permanent position.**Work Site**This is a fully on-site position in Beaverton, Oregon.**Work Environment**You will be working in a very large machine shop where it can be noisy. Appropriate PPE such as glasses or earplugs will be required. The shifts are either from 5am - 3:30pm or 3:30pm - 2am, and work weeks are either Sunday - Wednesday or Wednesday - Saturday.
